 Data is a sheltie. He has been a certified, active therapy dog since January 2002. Data is fully obedience trained and has earned his CGC. He has fun performing his tricks when we go visiting. We enjoy our visits because it allows us to meet so many wonderful people. And, of course, so many great dogs!! It's such a rewarding activity. We feel very blessed to be part of such a "Caring" group! 
Data's
favorite hobby is chasing
his cray daisy on hot summer days. Being a herding dog,
When Data was 6 years old, he
developed
a joint problem in his left front wrist. He had a myriad of tests
and nothing was conclusive. For several months it was so severe
that
he could barely walk. He started to become depressed because I
was
taking Geordi for long walks at the beach and Data had to stay
home.
So, I got a stroller and took him along.it's a natural for him.  I had to retire Data from agility training and concentrate on getting him better. I started acupuncture treatments for him and the improvement was tremendous. I wanted to continue some type of activity with him and that's when I decided that therapy work would be perfect. That was two years ago. He continues to have his acupuncture treatments and, as you can see enjoys his crazy daisy like "crazy"!  This

Data's
second favorite hobby is playing
in the snow with Geordi.  And, of course, the boys love to go out Trick or Treating on Halloween!!! |
