Caring Canines Visiting Therapy Dogs, Inc.

Spenser

I'm a cross between a Bichon Frise and a Cocker Spaniel.  The best day of my life was when my dad-to-be found me at the Animal Rescue League of Boston.  [The second best day of my life was when I became a Caring Canine.]  My mom and dad, Jane and Mark, named me after the private investigator in the Robert B. Parker mystery novels.  Here I am with my family:
I have lots of hobbies.  My favorite is destroying squeaky toys.  My personal best is forty-five minutes from brand-new to totally-eviscerated.  I really don't understand why my mom was so upset, because that toy was a squeaky bone that said “Bite Me.”  I was only following directions!  I also like to talk on my cell phone.  When I first got it I was a little scared:

But now I love it!  Call me!  My phone number is 1-800-RUB-MY-BELLY.

I like jumping into cars through the windows, especially to surprise the people inside.  I'm not so crazy about dog-type things like playing fetch or eating out of bowls that say “Dog.”  That's probably because I really don't believe I'm a dog.  I also like to shop:
I like helping my mom on her computer.  She even lets me sit in her chair and use the keyboard sometimes.  Here I am taking a break:
I pay really close attention.  Once when she left the room I used the computer to order some toys.  When they came - addressed to me, of course - Mom and Dad were really surprised.  Not me!
I have tons of pictures and like pen pals, so if you want to see me doing more fun stuff write to me at FetchItYourself@aol.com.  Just be patient when waiting for me to write back because I only type at three words a minute.
